Our Purpose
SankofaRise was born from a simple observation: across the UK, there are thousands of diaspora men with ambition, wisdom, and stories to share — but too few spaces where we can come together as a community. We created SankofaRise to fill that gap.
Our Name
Sankofa is a Twi word from Ghana, represented by a bird looking back while carrying an egg in its mouth. It teaches us: "It is not wrong to go back for that which you have forgotten."
At SankofaRise, we believe that to move forward, we must honour where we come from. Our heritage is not a burden — it is our foundation for success.

To build a thriving, supportive community for the African diaspora in the UK, connecting men through shared experiences, practical knowledge, and cultural pride.
Our Vision
A future where every diaspora man has access to a network of trusted peers, knowledge to build wealth and health, and a sense of belonging that bridges heritage and home.
